I was born in Cyprus, Limassol on 23 September 1993. My real name is Andreas Christodoulou. I wasn’t always passionate about music. In fact, I started playing guitar at the age of fourteen, just so I could start a band with my friends. We did pretty well, but after a while, playing guitar wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to learn more, so I bought a piano and started learning by myself. It wasn’t long until I started improvising, and creating my own melodies. This is when I truly got excited about music. I loved how you could put a few notes together and create something new, with your own touch to it.
At the age of seventeen I started composing music using Sibelius and that really expanded my horizons. I wanted to learn different musical instruments, so I started drum lessons and I joined the local philharmonic to learn baritone saxophone.
After i graduated from high-school, I joined the national guard for my 2-year army service. There, I was recruited by the Military Music department for my baritone saxophone skills. After a while, I got the position of “Score Arranger”. Meanwhile I started taking private Music Production lessons to make my compositions sound better and more realistic. I really enjoyed the combination of music and technology so I started learning about Sound Design, Mixing, Virtual Instruments, Recording, Foley, Music Industry and anything else that could prove useful in the future. This really took my compositions to a new level. I saved money to buy a decent workstation and started composing, producing and mixing my music. When I had composed enough music, I released an album and started selling royalty-free music. I started building my own website, and after a while I had all the wheels turning.
As soon as my army service was over, I joined a band as a keyboard player and after a while, many propositions came up and I started playing in other groups too. But this was not what I wanted to do with my music career, as I always want to learn more. That’s why I decided to take a few exams to make my musical skills official and then, apply to a university.
As a person, I am a bit of a perfectionist. This can sometimes be a bad thing, but I refuse to stop working until the project is perfect in my ears. I love meeting new people that are as excited and passionate as I am, and enjoy working with them. I am always open in suggestions and believe team work is the key to creating something great. I always welcome a challenge and never stop wanting to learn more.
